ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at the effectiveness and safety of using double pigtail plastic stents during a specific procedure called endoscopic transmural drainage, which helps drain fluid collections caused by inflammation in the pancreas. The main goal is to see if adding these plastic stents can improve the results of the drainage process when using a special type of metal stent.

To participate, you need to be over 18 years old and able to give your consent for treatment. You should be eligible for the drainage procedure based on current medical guidelines. However, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain medical conditions that prevent you from having this treatment, you won't be able to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to undergo the drainage procedure and be monitored for how well it works and how safe it is. This study is important because it may help doctors better treat patients with fluid issues related to pancreatitis.
