ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how nutritional disorders can affect bone health in infants and preschool children. It aims to understand the important nutrients, like calcium, protein, phosphorus, and vitamin D, that are necessary for strong bones. Since bones are constantly changing and growing, it’s crucial that children get the right nutrients to help their bones develop properly.
To participate in the study, children who are experiencing malnutrition and are attending a nutrition clinic at AUH may be eligible. However, those with bone disorders that are not related to malnutrition or those with genetic bone diseases will not be able to join. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, families can expect to learn more about how nutrition impacts bone health and potentially contribute to important research that could help improve the health of children facing similar challenges in the future.
