ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to see how effective a new educational tool is for patients who are taking blood-thinning medications called anticoagulants. The study will compare this new tool with the current educational materials that patients usually receive. By answering survey questions, participants will help researchers understand which educational method works better for improving knowledge and attitudes about anticoagulant therapy.
To participate, individuals aged 65-74 who are either starting or already taking anticoagulants for at least three months may be eligible. If they have been using anticoagulants for a while but score below 75% on a knowledge test about these medications, they can join too. However, those with significant difficulties in thinking, understanding, or language that would prevent them from using the educational materials or giving consent will not be included. Although the study is not yet recruiting participants, it aims to gather important insights that could help improve patient education and safety in anticoagulant therapy.
