ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how to improve the safety and recovery of older patients undergoing spine surgery. With more elderly people needing surgery, it's important to ensure they have the best possible outcomes. The study will create a program that helps assess risks before surgery and provides targeted support to enhance recovery after the procedure. By doing this, the researchers aim to address the challenges elderly patients face during and after spine surgery.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult patient who has agreed to take part and is scheduled for elective spinal fusion surgery for degenerative spinal disorders. You should not have severe memory issues and must be able to understand and cooperate with the pre-surgery assessments. Those with emergency surgery needs, spinal injuries, or participating in other studies may not be eligible. If you join, you can expect a thorough evaluation before surgery and support aimed at helping you recover more effectively afterwards.
