ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to see how well support groups conducted in a virtual reality space, known as the Metaverse, can help improve mental health and well-being for Ukrainian refugees. Participants will be divided into three groups: one will join the Metaverse support group, another will attend support groups in person, and the third group will be placed on a waitlist for later participation. Each group will meet once a week for five sessions to share experiences and support one another.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be part of Ukrainian refugee communities and be at least 18 years old. However, those who have been formally diagnosed with a mental disorder, like PTSD, or are currently receiving other mental health treatments cannot join. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to better understand whether the virtual support groups can be as effective as in-person meetings and how both compare to no intervention at all.
