ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how virtual reality training can improve nurses' understanding of mental health and reduce stigma surrounding mental illnesses. The research will involve 110 nurses from a public hospital in Istanbul, who will be randomly divided into two groups. One group will receive training using virtual reality, while the other group will receive traditional training. The goal is to see if the virtual reality training helps nurses understand mental health better and view it more positively compared to the traditional approach.
To participate, nurses must be at least 18 years old, currently working in a public hospital in Istanbul, and willing to volunteer for the study. They should not have prior experience working in a psychiatric ward. Participants will complete surveys before and after the training to measure their mental health knowledge and attitudes. This study is important as it aims to improve the quality of care for individuals with mental health issues by equipping nurses with better knowledge and reducing negative perceptions.
