ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a condition called "directional preference" affects movement in people who have experienced whiplash injuries, often from car accidents. Directional preference means that a person may feel relief from pain when moving their neck in a certain direction. The researchers want to find out if those who have this preference show better improvements in movement and pain compared to those who do not have a directional preference. Participants will be asked to complete several assessments related to their pain and neck function at different points during the study, including at the beginning, during treatment, at discharge, and three months later.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be between 19 and 70 years old and have neck pain related to a recent car accident or trauma. They should not have any serious underlying medical conditions, such as infections or progressive neurological issues. Those who qualify will receive treatment based on their directional preference, if applicable. This trial is currently recruiting participants and aims to help improve care for individuals suffering from whiplash-associated disorders.
