ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating two treatments, Prothrombin Complex Concentrate (PCC) and Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP), to see which one helps stop bleeding more quickly during certain types of surgeries. The study will focus on patients undergoing non-cardiac surgeries, such as spine surgery, open prostate surgery, hip replacement, or knee replacement. The main goal is to find out which treatment allows for faster management of bleeding during these procedures.
To participate in this trial, you need to be scheduled for one of the surgeries mentioned above. However, if you are taking certain blood-thinning medications or are pregnant, you won’t be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you will be part of a study that aims to improve how doctors manage bleeding during surgeries, potentially leading to better recovery for patients. The trial is not yet recruiting, so there will be updates on when it begins.
