ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a new treatment called cross-frequency transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) to see if it can help people with methamphetamine (MA) use disorders. The study aims to find out if multiple sessions of this non-invasive brain stimulation can improve the symptoms and overall well-being of individuals who have been using methamphetamine for at least a year, with their last use being no less than three months ago.

To participate in the trial, individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 65, have normal vision and hearing, and meet the criteria for MA use disorders as defined by mental health guidelines. However, those with certain health issues that affect brain function, a history of serious head injuries, or those who have used other substances (except nicotine) in the past five years will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive a series of treatment sessions and will be monitored for any changes in their condition. This study is currently recruiting, and it represents a potential new approach to treating methamphetamine dependence.
