ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring how expressive emotional writing can help adults with spinal cord injuries (SCI) cope with grief and improve their mental health. The study lasts for 10 weeks and is conducted online with the support of a coach who will guide participants through the writing process. By sharing their feelings and experiences in writing, the hope is that participants will find better ways to manage their emotions and enhance their overall well-being.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be over 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of spinal cord injury that causes weakness in their limbs. They also need access to the internet and a device that allows for video calls, as well as the ability to understand and communicate in English. It's important to note that individuals with severe cognitive impairments or those currently receiving certain types of therapy may not qualify. Participants can expect a supportive environment where they can express themselves and connect with others who understand their experiences, all from the comfort of their own homes.
