ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on helping people with high blood pressure, known as hypertension, in Bangladesh and Pakistan. The goal is to see if a health promotion program run by community pharmacies can effectively lower blood pressure over 12 months. About 3,600 adults with high blood pressure will participate, and they will receive educational support, counseling, and regular check-ins through phone calls or text messages from pharmacy professionals. The study will measure how well blood pressure is controlled and whether participants adopt healthier lifestyles.
To be eligible for this trial, you need to be between 18 and 90 years old, have high blood pressure, and sometimes struggle to take your medication as prescribed. You must also be able to communicate in the local language, have a mobile phone, and live in the study area. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and those who join can expect to receive support and resources aimed at improving their blood pressure and overall health. It's important to note that pregnant women, individuals with severe medical conditions, or those who can't provide informed consent cannot participate.
