ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help older adults improve their movement and thinking skills through a program that combines virtual reality and rhythmic training. The goal is to see how these techniques can assist healthy older adults and those with mild cognitive impairment in better adapting their hand movements and enhancing their cognitive abilities. By using rhythmic cues and sensory stimulation, the researchers hope to strengthen motor skills and cognitive functions, which can lead to a better quality of life for elderly individuals.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between the ages of 20 and 85 and be able to complete certain cognitive assessments. Specifically, healthy young adults (ages 20-39) and older adults (ages 65-85) with a score of 23 or higher on a cognitive test can join. Participants should not have any recent issues with their upper limbs or significant mental health concerns. Those who take part can expect to engage in activities using virtual reality that are designed to improve their movement and thinking processes, potentially helping them maintain their independence in daily activities.
