ClinConnect Summary

The HALT Study is looking at how to manage high blood pressure in patients with certain types of B-cell cancers, such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia and mantle cell lymphoma, who are starting treatment with a medication called Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors (BTKis). This study aims to understand how often new high blood pressure occurs and how to best take care of it in these patients. If you or a loved one has one of these cancers and is beginning BTKi treatment, you may be eligible to participate in this study, as long as there is no involvement of the central nervous system in the cancer.

Participants in the study will visit the Mayo Clinic for regular check-ups and follow-ups during their treatment. This is a great opportunity to help improve care for future patients while also receiving close monitoring for any changes in blood pressure. The study is currently recruiting participants of all ages and genders, so if you think you might qualify, it could be worth discussing with your healthcare provider.
