ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying why some hospitals in England are able to successfully perform certain types of surgeries as day-case operations, meaning patients can go home the same day, while others struggle to do so. The surgeries in question include procedures for treating bladder cancer, bladder outlet issues, and urinary stones. Researchers will interview healthcare staff involved in these surgeries to understand the factors that enable or hinder day-case surgery and to learn about any unexpected outcomes that may arise during these procedures.
To participate in this study, staff members working in NHS hospitals who regularly help with these surgeries are eligible, as long as they perform at least 10 cases a year. Participants can expect to share their experiences and insights in interviews over a six-month period. The goal is to gather enough information until no new ideas or themes emerge, helping to improve patient care and outcomes in the future.
