ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at patients who have had heart surgery and are recovering in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The main goal is to understand how often patients experience serious complications or even death shortly after their surgery, as well as to identify factors that may increase these risks. Researchers want to learn about the different types of surgeries, the kinds of anesthesia used, and the overall health of the patients to see if this knowledge can help improve care and outcomes for future patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
To participate in the study, individuals must be adults aged 18 or older who are having cardiac surgery that requires ICU care. However, those receiving only palliative care (focused on comfort rather than curing illness) or who have other specific health conditions will not be included. Participants can expect to be monitored closely for any complications in the days following surgery, and their recovery process will be analyzed to help improve future treatments. This study is currently recruiting patients and aims to gather important information that could save lives and enhance recovery after heart surgery.
