ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of thyme oil on people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). COPD is a serious lung condition that makes it hard to breathe and is often caused by long-term exposure to harmful substances. The researchers want to see if thyme oil, which is a natural and affordable remedy, can help improve the breathing symptoms and overall heart function of patients with COPD. This is important because many patients already use thyme oil as a home remedy, and the study aims to understand its potential benefits more clearly.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 18 years old and currently hospitalized with a diagnosis of COPD. You should be able to communicate and cooperate with the research team. Unfortunately, if you have certain mental health conditions, are pregnant, or are transferred to intensive care, you won’t be eligible for the study. If you choose to join, you can expect to receive thyme oil alongside your regular treatment and to be monitored for any changes in your symptoms and health. This research could help provide valuable insights into how natural remedies can support COPD treatment.
