Sleeve Gastrectomy Weight Loss Prediction Model

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a way to predict how well people will lose weight one year after having a specific type of weight loss surgery called sleeve gastrectomy. The goal is to create a model that can estimate the chances of not losing enough weight, helping doctors and patients make better-informed decisions about the surgery and its outcomes.

To participate in this study, you need to be between 16 and 70 years old and have a body mass index (BMI) of 27.5 or higher, which indicates that you may be overweight or obese. The researchers are looking for individuals who have complete information before the surgery and can provide follow-up data one year after the procedure. However, if you’ve had certain health issues or if you become pregnant within a year after the surgery, you won’t be eligible for this trial. If you join the study, you can expect to help improve future care for patients considering sleeve gastrectomy by sharing your experiences and outcomes.
