ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the best doses of two medications, norepinephrine and phenylephrine, to help manage low blood pressure in pregnant women who have preeclampsia during cesarean sections. Preeclampsia is a condition that can occur during pregnancy, leading to high blood pressure and other complications. The study aims to find the most effective way to use these medications to keep blood pressure stable in these patients who are receiving spinal anesthesia during surgery.
To participate in this trial, women aged 18 to 45 who are having their first or subsequent child and are at least 32 weeks pregnant may be eligible. However, certain conditions could disqualify someone from participating, such as having very high blood pressure before the surgery or certain health conditions. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but when it begins, women who join can expect close monitoring and support during their cesarean section to ensure their safety and the health of their baby.
