ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new device called the IKORUS, which is designed to help manage blood flow in critically ill patients. The goal is to see if the device is safe and effective for use in patients who are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Researchers want to understand how well the device can help keep blood circulation stable in these patients.
To be eligible for this trial, patients must be admitted to the ICU within the last 24 hours and expect to stay there for at least five days. They should also be receiving a specific medication called noradrenaline to help support their blood pressure. However, patients who are receiving care solely for comfort (palliative treatment), have had complications with catheter placement, or cannot safely receive certain treatments will not be included. Participants in the trial will have the opportunity to help advance medical knowledge while receiving close monitoring and care.
