ClinConnect Summary
**Summary of the Heart Lung Machine Registry Trial**
The Heart Lung Machine Registry is a clinical trial that is looking at the safety and effectiveness of specific medical devices used during heart, lung, and vascular surgeries. These devices, called the Heart Lung Machine HL 40 and Temperature Probes, help manage blood flow and temperature while patients are undergoing surgery that requires support for their heart and lungs. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all ages, as long as they are undergoing these types of surgeries and have signed the necessary consent forms.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be connected to the Heart Lung Machine during their surgery. However, pregnant individuals and those who are also taking part in other clinical trials involving new drugs or devices cannot join this study. If you or a family member qualifies and decides to participate, you can expect to contribute to valuable research that aims to improve surgical outcomes for future patients. Your involvement will help healthcare providers understand how well these devices work and ensure they are safe for use.
