ClinConnect Summary
The PRESERVE & CONNECT project is a research study looking at a program called the Breakthrough Parenting Curriculum (BPC), which helps parents navigate the challenges of trauma and child maltreatment. This study is taking place in rural areas and diverse communities in Vermont and Connecticut, and it's designed to understand how effective this parenting program is for families who might be involved with the child welfare system.
If you are a parent who is currently involved in, or at risk of being involved in, the child welfare system, you may be eligible to participate. However, it's important to note that individuals with certain mental health issues, like active psychosis or major depression without treatment, cannot join the study. Participants can expect to engage in the BPC program, which aims to provide support and skills for parenting in difficult circumstances. The study is currently recruiting participants, and anyone interested can learn more about how to get involved.
