ClinConnect Summary
The HEROES clinical trial is researching new ways to help people recover from strokes using advanced technology. The project aims to develop and test a special robotic arm and a wearable jacket and gloves that stroke survivors can control using their thoughts, thanks to a wireless Brain-Computer Interface. Participants will also use a fun game and augmented reality visuals to make their therapy more engaging. This study is designed for adults aged 14 and older, including both stroke survivors and healthy individuals of similar age and gender, as long as they have the proper medical documentation of their stroke.
If you join the trial, you can expect to participate in a unique rehabilitation program that focuses on improving movement for those who have significant difficulties after a stroke. However, there are certain health conditions that may prevent someone from participating, such as other serious neurological disorders, major medical issues affecting safety, or substance abuse problems. The trial is not currently recruiting participants, but if you're interested, you can learn more about it on the project’s website.
