ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new technology called Computer-Aided Detection (CADe) to see if it can help doctors find more polyps in the colon during follow-up colonoscopy exams. Polyps are growths that can develop in the colon and may lead to cancer if not detected and removed. The goal is to determine if using CADe increases the Adenoma Detection Rate (ADR), which is the percentage of polyps found during these procedures. Participants will be randomly assigned to either have the CADe colonoscopy or a standard colonoscopy, and researchers will compare the results to see if the new technology is more effective.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 50 and 74 years old and must be undergoing a colonoscopy after previously having polyps found. It's important to note that individuals who cannot provide consent or are taking certain blood-thinning medications may not qualify. If you choose to participate, you can expect to undergo a colonoscopy, where the CADe technology will assist the doctor in identifying any concerning areas in your colon. This study is currently recruiting participants and aims to improve the screening process for colon health.
