ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new method of anesthesia that does not use opioids (strong pain medications like morphine) during bariatric surgery, which is a type of weight-loss surgery for people with severe obesity. The goal is to see if using this opioid-free approach can improve recovery after surgery by reducing side effects such as difficulty breathing, stomach problems, or feeling overly tired. Researchers want to find out if patients who have this kind of anesthesia will experience better pain control and a faster return to normal activities.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have had bariatric surgery at a specific hospital between January 2017 and December 2019. They also need to agree to allow their medical data to be used for research purposes. However, people who are pregnant, under legal protection, or who do not wish to participate will not be included. If you choose to take part, you can expect to be involved in a study that aims to improve pain management and recovery for future patients undergoing similar surgeries.
