ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Reaching Motion During Functional Activities," is studying how people move their shoulders during everyday tasks, especially in older adults aged 60 and over. The researchers want to understand the movement patterns of two groups: older adults who do not have any shoulder problems and those who have had a reverse shoulder prosthesis, which is a type of surgery to replace a damaged shoulder joint. By comparing these groups, the study aims to find out how rehabilitation can be improved for patients with a shoulder prosthesis.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be 60 years or older. They must either have no shoulder pain and no known shoulder issues or have had a reverse shoulder replacement surgery. Unfortunately, people younger than 60, those experiencing shoulder pain at the time of testing, or anyone with a diagnosed shoulder problem cannot take part. Participants will help researchers gather important information about shoulder movement, which could lead to better treatments and recovery options for those with shoulder issues.
