ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well high-resolution ultrasonography, a type of imaging technology, can help doctors find and assess nasal bone fractures in adults who have recently experienced facial injuries. The main goals of the study are to see if this ultrasound technique can effectively identify nasal fractures, detect any fractures in the nasal septum (the wall dividing the nostrils), and compare its accuracy to that of a CT scan (a more detailed imaging test).
To participate in this trial, individuals must have had nasal trauma within the last two weeks. They should not have extensive facial injuries or a history of surgeries or fractures in the area being examined. If eligible, participants can expect to receive standard care for their nasal injury, along with an ultrasound examination to help assess their condition. This study aims to improve how nasal fractures are diagnosed and could lead to better treatment options for patients in the future.
