ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new smartphone app called "Happy Baby HK," which is designed to help new parents support their baby's mental well-being and development. The goal is to see if using this app can improve how infants feel and reduce the chances of them having developmental delays. Participants in the study will either use the app or a traditional parenting booklet, and they will fill out questionnaires about their baby's growth at 6, 12, and 18 months after birth.
To participate, mothers need to be at least 18 years old and visiting specific hospitals in Hong Kong during their pregnancy or after giving birth. However, mothers who cannot read Chinese, do not have internet access, have high-risk pregnancies, or have a history of mental health issues, as well as babies with certain health concerns, will not be eligible. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how technology can support child development in early life.
