ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring how using ChatGPT, a conversational computer program, can help patients with vestibular schwannoma—a type of benign tumor that affects the vestibular nerve—make better decisions about their treatment. Many patients face confusion and uncertainty when making important medical choices, and this study aims to see if ChatGPT can ease that decision-making stress. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive training on how to use ChatGPT for support, while the other will not. Researchers will measure how each group feels about their decisions before and after using the tool.

To take part in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with vestibular schwannoma. You’ll also need access to a device that can connect to the internet and run ChatGPT. If you join, you can expect to share your thoughts on your decision-making experience, which will help researchers understand if ChatGPT is a useful tool for patients. This study is not yet recruiting, so keep an eye out for updates if you're interested!
