ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to detect a condition called left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD), which affects how well the heart can pump blood. LVSD can lead to serious problems like heart failure, but it often doesn’t show any symptoms until it's too late. The researchers want to see if a common test called an electrocardiogram (ECG) can help identify people at risk for LVSD earlier and more easily than traditional methods like echocardiograms, which can be expensive and require specialized training.

To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 50 years old and have had both an echocardiogram and an ECG at the CHRU de Nancy hospital. You should also have at least one risk factor for heart problems, such as obesity, diabetes, or high blood pressure. However, if you have a history of heart disease or significant abnormalities in your ECG, you won't be eligible to join. If you take part, you can expect to undergo additional tests to help researchers understand how well ECGs can identify those at risk for heart issues. This study aims to make heart health monitoring simpler and more accessible for everyone.
