ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special virtual reality program, called VRBaby-Pump, can help mothers who have given birth prematurely with expressing breast milk. The study aims to see if using this VR application can improve the mothers' experience and increase the amount of milk they produce. It will involve mothers who have just given birth and whose babies are in the neonatal intensive care unit. The research will be conducted at a hospital in Antalya, Turkey, from September to December 2023.
To participate in this study, mothers must have delivered their babies before 37 weeks of pregnancy and be on their first day after giving birth. However, some mothers will not be eligible, such as those who have experienced the loss of their newborn or have conditions that prevent breastfeeding. If mothers choose to take part, they can expect to use the VR technology while milking, and their experiences will be measured to see how effective the program is. This trial will not only help researchers understand the benefits of virtual reality in supporting breastfeeding but also provide valuable insights for mothers in similar situations.
