ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how the way our muscles are used during exercise can affect muscle growth, specifically in the hamstrings, over a 10-week resistance training program. The researchers want to understand if the way "internal load"—essentially how hard the muscles are working—relates to how much muscle growth occurs in different parts of the hamstring.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 91, have no history of lower limb injuries, and not have any long-term health conditions that require ongoing care. The trial is not currently recruiting participants, but if you meet these criteria, you may have the opportunity to engage in a program designed to potentially improve muscle strength and growth. Participants can expect to take part in resistance training exercises over 10 weeks while researchers track their progress.
