ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a parenting program designed to help improve early childhood development and support caregivers. Specifically, it focuses on teaching primary caregivers, like parents or guardians, about nurturing care for their children aged 0 to 24 months. The program will take place in Busia and Homabay counties in Kenya and consists of 20 group sessions, held twice a month for 10 months, led by trained volunteers. Through these sessions, caregivers will learn valuable skills and gain knowledge, which can also help improve their own well-being.
To participate in this study, you need to be the primary caregiver of a child between 0 and 24 months and live in a specific village chosen for the trial. If you join, you'll have the opportunity to connect with other caregivers, learn more about caring for young children, and share experiences in a supportive group setting. This trial is actively ongoing but not currently recruiting new participants. It’s being conducted by Emory University with support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, and it aims to not only assess how well the program works but also how effectively it can be implemented in the community.
