ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a new way to help athletes improve their performance and recovery by using a special technology called alginate encapsulation. This method allows nutrients to be slowly released in the body, making it easier for athletes to digest and absorb them without causing stomach discomfort. The study aims to see if this technique can help replenish energy stores and repair muscle damage more effectively during and after exercise, especially for those engaged in endurance sports like cycling.
To participate in this study, you need to be a healthy male between the ages of 18 and 50, with a certain level of fitness (specifically, a VO2 max greater than 50 ml/min/kg) and experience in cycling. Participants will not be able to have any metabolic diseases, like Type 2 Diabetes, or be on medications or special diets that could interfere with the study's results. If you join, you can expect to help researchers learn more about how this new nutrient delivery method might benefit athletic performance and recovery. This trial is currently looking for volunteers, so it could be a great opportunity to contribute to sports science while enhancing your own fitness journey!
