ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how lavender aromatherapy might help reduce anxiety and make patients feel more comfortable during a specific type of skin surgery called Mohs Micrographic Surgery (MMS). Lavender is known for its calming effects, and the goal is to see if it can help patients feel less anxious and improve their overall experience during this procedure.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for Mohs surgery on your head or neck at the University Hospitals Westlake Dermatology Clinic. You cannot have had any previous Mohs surgeries, and it’s important that you do not have allergies or sensitivities to lavender or strong smells. If you decide to join, you can expect to receive lavender aromatherapy during your surgery, and the study will help researchers understand its effects on anxiety and comfort levels. Please note that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it’s an exciting opportunity to explore new ways to enhance patient care.
