ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a technique called Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) on athletes who have suffered from ankle sprains. MLD is a gentle massage method that helps improve the flow of lymph fluid in the body, which may help reduce swelling and promote healing. The trial aims to see if this technique can help basketball players recover more effectively from both acute (recent) and post-acute (after a few weeks) ankle sprains.
To participate in this study, individuals must be basketball athletes aged between 18 and 30 who have been diagnosed with a mild to moderate ankle sprain (grades I or II) and are experiencing pain and swelling. However, those who have had previous ankle surgery, serious medical conditions, or certain other ankle injuries may not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive MLD treatments and be monitored for their recovery progress. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it could provide valuable insights into how MLD might benefit athletes with ankle injuries.
