ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to find out if using throat packs during dental treatments done under general anesthesia can help reduce the chances of patients feeling nauseous or vomiting after the procedure, as well as reduce sore throat symptoms. The study will focus on children and young adults aged 5 to 16 who need dental work, such as fillings or other restorations.
To participate, potential volunteers must get permission from their parents and be in good health according to specific medical guidelines. However, some individuals won't be eligible, such as those with certain medical conditions or a history of complications related to anesthesia. If selected, participants can expect a thorough evaluation and will help researchers understand how throat packs might improve their recovery experience after dental treatments. This study is important because it could lead to better care for patients with special health needs undergoing dental procedures.
