ClinConnect Summary
The FLEPI trial is studying how well healthy adults can stick out their tongues and how these skills compare to other movements, like squeezing a handgrip or using breathing muscles. The goal is to understand if measuring tongue movements can be a reliable way to assess motor skills in general. If you’re between 18 and 74 years old and generally healthy, you might be eligible to participate. However, if you have certain conditions like eating disorders, sleep apnea, or neurological issues, you won’t be able to join.
Participants in this study can expect to perform simple tasks that involve their tongue and other muscles. The study is currently looking for volunteers, and it’s a great opportunity to contribute to research that could improve our understanding of motor skills. If you’re interested, it’s important to check if you meet the eligibility criteria and understand how your participation could help advance knowledge in this area.
