ClinConnect Summary
The "Move ARound And Get Active" trial is studying how to help preschoolers, ages 2.5 to 6, be more active and follow new guidelines for physical activity, screen time, and sleep. Many young children are not meeting these guidelines, and this study aims to change that by testing a special health program designed for both children and their parents. This program includes seven sessions where parents and preschoolers will learn fun ways to be more active and reduce screen time. Some families will participate in these sessions, while others will receive the program materials after the study is over for comparison.
To join the trial, families need to have a preschooler who can understand Dutch and wear a small device called an accelerometer, which tracks movement. One parent must also be able to communicate in Dutch and be willing to take part in the program. The trial is currently looking for participants, and those who join can expect to learn helpful strategies to promote healthy habits for their children. This is a great opportunity for families to make a positive change in their daily routines!
