ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help people in Indonesia who struggle with gambling problems, known as Gambling Disorder (GD). The researchers want to find out if an online therapy program, called internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (iCBT), can effectively support individuals facing this issue. The study will involve 20 participants who will learn from self-help videos and join weekly group sessions for guidance. The effectiveness of this therapy will be measured at the start of the program, after 10 weeks, and again 6 weeks after finishing the treatment.
To be part of this study, participants need to be between 18 and 59 years old, have a gambling problem as identified by a screening tool, and have access to the internet through devices like smartphones or computers. They also need to be comfortable speaking and reading in Indonesian. However, those with severe mental health issues or difficulties participating in the therapy will not be included. It's important to note that the online therapy program will not be available for general use until the study is finished.
