ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether using a stress ball can help reduce anxiety during an endometrial biopsy, a procedure where a small sample of tissue is taken from the lining of the uterus for testing. Many procedures can be stressful, and while there has been research on stress balls in other situations, this study focuses specifically on endometrial biopsies. It aims to see if squeezing a stress ball can make patients feel calmer during the procedure.
To participate, women aged 18 and older who can read and write in Turkish are eligible, as long as they do not have any current mental health issues that could interfere with the study or any physical limitations that prevent them from squeezing the ball. Participants will either use a stress ball during their biopsy or not use one at all, and the researchers will compare the anxiety levels of both groups. This study is currently planned to take place at Zonguldak Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, but it has not started recruiting participants yet.
