ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new type of short therapy designed to help young adults with cancer and their partners cope better with the emotional challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. The study aims to see if this therapy can improve how they handle stress and strengthen their relationship during this difficult time. The trial is currently looking for participants aged 25 to 39 who are either undergoing cancer treatment or have finished treatment within the past two years, as well as their partners.
To be eligible, participants should have some level of psychological distress, which means they might be feeling anxious or overwhelmed due to the cancer experience. The trial is taking place at Massachusetts General Cancer Center in Boston, and it welcomes all genders. Participants will be involved in therapy sessions designed to address their unique needs, and the researchers hope to learn how well this approach works for both the patients and their caregivers. It's important to note that individuals with severe mental health issues, like uncontrolled psychosis or suicidal thoughts, are not eligible to participate.
