ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to compare three different pain medications—tramadol, pethidine (also known as aldolan), and morphine—to see which one works best for managing pain after thoracic surgery, which involves operations on the chest area. The study aims to help doctors determine the most effective way to relieve pain for patients undergoing this type of surgery.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and scheduled for non-urgent thoracic surgery. They should be classified as having a low to moderate risk for surgery according to a specific medical guideline. Importantly, participants cannot have allergies to any of the medications being tested. If you join the trial, you'll receive one of the three pain medications after your surgery, and the research team will monitor your pain levels and overall recovery. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it holds promise for improving pain management in future surgeries.
