ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how to manage outbreaks of a tough-to-treat bacterium called imipenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (ABRI) in a hospital setting, particularly in the surgical intensive care unit. This bacterium can lead to serious infections that are hard to control, especially for patients already in critical condition. The trial aims to gather information about patients who were affected by this outbreak at the Hautepierre hospital between May 2015 and January 2019.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been hospitalized in the surgical intensive care unit during the outbreak, and either tested positive for or been colonized by ABRI. Additionally, you must agree to allow your data to be used for research purposes. If you choose to participate, you'll be contributing to important research that could help hospitals better handle similar outbreaks in the future. It’s important to know that patients who are under legal protection or who do not wish to participate will not be included in the study.
