ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how firefighters are affected by certain substances they might be exposed to while on the job, particularly a type of chemical called PFAS, which has been linked to cancer. The goal is to better understand these risks and hopefully improve safety for firefighters.
To participate, you need to be at least 18 years old and currently or previously worked as a firefighter, whether full-time or part-time. You’ll also need to be willing to provide some samples of your blood, urine, or tissue for testing. A small group of people who are not firefighters will also be included in the study to help compare results. If you decide to join, you’ll be helping to gather important information that could benefit firefighters and their health in the future.
