ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective two different ways of giving iron treatment are for children with cerebral palsy who also have iron deficiency anemia. The researchers want to see if giving iron twice a week works just as well as giving it every day. This study will take place at the pediatric medicine department of the Children’s Hospital in Islamabad.
To be part of this trial, children must be between 6 months and 5 years old and have both cerebral palsy and iron deficiency anemia. Unfortunately, children older than 5, those with very low hemoglobin levels requiring blood transfusions, or those who have taken iron supplements in the last month can't participate. If eligible, children will receive either the twice-weekly or daily iron treatment, and the researchers will monitor how well each method helps improve their anemia. This study aims to find the best way to help these children feel better and improve their health.
