ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two types of surgeries, called laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy and sacrocolpopexy, to treat pelvic organ prolapse. Pelvic organ prolapse happens when the pelvic organs, such as the bladder or uterus, drop from their normal position, often causing discomfort and other symptoms. The unique aspect of this trial is that these surgeries are being performed without using mesh, which is a material often used in similar procedures. Researchers want to see how well these surgeries work in improving both the structure and function of the pelvic area.

Women aged 18 and older who are experiencing symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse may be eligible to participate. However, individuals who have had previous surgeries for this condition, or those who have undergone chemotherapy or radiation therapy, are not eligible. Participants in this trial can expect to undergo one of the surgical procedures, and they will be monitored to evaluate the outcomes of the surgery. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it's a chance for women with this condition to contribute to important research that may improve future treatment options.
