ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to compare two treatments for postmenopausal women experiencing genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), which includes symptoms like vaginal dryness and discomfort. The study will look at a new gel made with hyaluronic acid, arginine, and liposomes, and see if it works better than a standard vaginal lubricant. The main goal is to find out which option helps improve symptoms more effectively.
To participate in this trial, women must be between the ages of 40 and 80 and have been postmenopausal for at least a year. However, there are some exclusions, such as having atypical cells in a vaginal smear or using hormonal treatments in the last six months. If eligible, participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new gel or the lubricant. This study is not yet recruiting, but it aims to provide valuable information on treating GSM to improve the quality of life for many women.
