ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the long-term outcomes of surgical repair for a specific type of knee injury known as a proximal ACL tear. The ACL, or anterior cruciate ligament, is crucial for knee stability, and injuries can happen during sports or physical activities. The trial aims to follow patients for five years after their surgery to see how well they recover and if they experience any relapse of their knee issues.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 18 years old and have an isolated proximal ACL tear, which means it is not complicated by other severe injuries. You should not have had previous knee surgeries, except for minor meniscus repairs. If you decide to join, you can expect regular check-ups and assessments of your knee function over the five-year period. This study is important because it will provide valuable information about the effectiveness of ACL repair surgery, helping doctors understand who may benefit most from this treatment.
