ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how helpful a surgical procedure called inguinal exploration is for boys with undescended testicles that cannot be felt during a physical exam. The goal is to see how many children benefit from this surgery after a less invasive procedure called laparoscopy, which allows doctors to see the structures leading to the testicles. The researchers also want to find out what factors might predict whether a testicle will be found in the inguinal canal during this exploration.

Boys between 6 months and 12 years old with undescended testicles may be eligible to participate in this study. However, those who refuse to join, have certain medical conditions, or have had previous surgeries on the inguinal canal will not be included. Participants can expect to undergo a laparoscopy first, and if needed, the inguinal exploration will follow. It's important to know that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help improve treatment options for children with this condition in the future.
