ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether watching an informative video before a procedure called external cephalic version (ECV) can help reduce anxiety for mothers and improve the chances of the procedure being successful. ECV is a method used to turn a baby that is in a breech position (bottom first) to a head-down position before delivery. The study is currently recruiting women aged 18 to 45 who are between 36 and 38 weeks pregnant with a single baby.
To participate, women must not have had a cesarean section in the past, should not have certain pregnancy complications, and should not be taking medication for anxiety or depression. If eligible, participants will watch the video before the ECV, which aims to inform and prepare them for the procedure. This trial is important because it could help improve the experience of mothers and increase the chances of a successful turn, leading to safer deliveries.
